Terms and Conditions

1. Treat the list of work items in your written quotation as a job sheet. These are the work items that will be done, not other work that was not included in the quotation. If you see something specific left out, advise us before giving us the go-ahead.

2. Access to property. Please ensure all vehicles and other objects are out of the way of access to the jobs. Obstacles can include bees' and wasps' nests.

3. Waste removal. Quotations to remove waste from property are based on what was sighted prior to quoting, not extra waste added thereafter. Waste is defined as green/garden waste, not domestic waste (plastics, treated wood etc) unless agreed upon in writing. Soil. If large amounts of heavy soil are found in the green waste this will not be included in the removal. Or, it will incur an extra cost.

4. Hedges and upper balconies. If the hedge being trimmed needs to look neat seen from the perspective of a balcony view above the hedge, this needs to be shown to Rod the Gardener / New Freedom. (This will significantly add to the price as it involves us going back and forth, up and down, from balcony to hedge over and over, to get the greater level of perfection.)

5. Any products, including all landscaping products, such as shrubs and bark, remain the property of Rod the Gardener/New Freedom until the customer has paid for all related work in full.

6. Underground cables, pipes, mains, dangerous items. The customer needs to inform Rod the Gardener / New Freedom of all pipes, cables, mains and/or any other man-made or hazardous items. Rod the Gardener / New Freedom and any subcontracted vendors will not take responsibility for any damages to such items.

7. Cutting down and removing trees and large plants. Any quote for tree removal does not include stump removal. Stump removal is quoted separately. Removal of plants, particularly species like bamboo, does not necessarily include removal of all roots; this needs to be specified in the quote.

8. Authority and Due Diligence. The customer/property owner confirms the area requiring gardening or landscaping is the customer's property or is their responsibility as tenant.

9. Weed spraying is a free, optional extra unless the area is large. Use and effectiveness of weed spray or gel is dependent on unpredictable rainfall which will wash it away.

10. PAYMENT. Full payment is due as soon as jobs are completed. By paying a booking deposit you agree to our Terms & Conditions.
